The idea of Alphax Hygiene Capsule was conceived by company’s CEO, Dr. Bob Bhushan in 2015 while taking care of his septuagenarian father who was physically very weak in his late 70s. 

Bathing his father everyday was not an easy task. It was physically strenuous and challenging. But he noticed that after cleaning and bathing, his father was more happy, active, and cheerful. 

Dr. Bhushan was very busy with his professional life so he couldn’t spend much time with his father. He wanted to hire a caregiver, but his father wanted to keep his independence and dignity. Dr. Bhushan tried looking for a bathing or hygiene machine or equipment that could be helpful for his old parents but there was none. Everything that was available out there required manual operation. 

Dr. Bhushan discussed this issue with his friends and colleagues who have old parents, physically challenged children, or loved ones, and surprisingly found that everybody was going through the same experience, but no one knew what to do. Being an inventor and scientist, Dr. Bhushan decided to do something about it. In 2021. Dr. Bhushan started working on this idea, setting up a team, making conceptual and engineering designs of the machine that can help in toileting, cleaning, flushing, face washing, hair washing, bathing, body drying by a voice activated control system. All steps are performed in a sitting position, and machine is equipped with critical safety and emergency features.
